Château Montrose, Saint- Estephe, AOC, 2ème Grand Cru Classé, dry, red

Château Montrose is a 95-hectare wine estate in Saint-Estèphe, Gironde, classified as a second growth in the 1855 classification. The Château is situated on gravelly soil, overlooking the Gironde estuary for more than a kilometer. The estate covers 130 hectares, including 95 hectares of vines in a single block. Succeeding the Charmolüe dynasty, Martin and Olivier Bouygues acquired Château Montrose in 2006.
