In the new Dewar’s 12YO the recipe (blend) remains unchanged. Instead, we’ve modified the double ageing process to increase smoothness (mouthfeel) and amplify existing flavour notes. The second stage of double ageing is now conducted in ‘active’ 1st fill bourbon casks. ‘1st fill’ means that this is the first time the casks have been used to age Scotch whisky.
